nurhossain.com: Built for Speed, SEO and Simplicity

This website is my own project — and my own proof of work. Here’s exactly how it was built and optimised.

The Challenge

Most freelancer and agency websites in this space are built with heavy page builders, dozens of plugins and generic themes. They look fine, but they load slowly, drag down SEO, and rarely practise what they preach. I wanted nurhossain.com to be the opposite: fast by default, clean in code, and built the same way I’d build a client site — because it effectively is one.

What I Did

Rebuilt the site on the lightweight Hello Elementor theme instead of a heavy multipurpose theme
Removed unused plugins and dequeued scripts/styles that weren’t needed on each page (icon fonts, unused block assets, jQuery where nothing required it)
Set up full-page caching with SpeedyCache Pro and inlined small critical CSS files
Added Cloudflare in front of the site for CDN delivery and an extra security layer
Hardened the login page against brute-force attempts
Rebuilt the 404, blog and single-post templates as lightweight custom templates instead of using the theme’s default (heavier) ones
Set clean, consistent SEO titles and meta descriptions on every page, and excluded utility pages (like the thank-you page) from search results and site search

The Result

Full-page cacheEvery page served from cache

Server response time dropped from 613 ms to about 150 ms after the rebuild — measured on the same hosting, before and after the changes above. The site now runs on a full page cache, loads a lightweight template on every page type, and every page has clean, unique SEO metadata.
